150 minors detained for rash driving in Hyderabad

Young riders were caught by city police in a massive special drive at Necklace Road near the popular food joint Eat Street. As many as 150 minors were detained and counseled for driving before attaining the legal age.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Saifabad) Surender Reddy told that the young boys were not fined or arrested but



were counseled near Lake Police Station and warned against driving without obtaining the required documents.

“The boys were let off after being enlightened of the rules that they are violating. We conduct such searches randomly to keep check the menace of youngsters riding bikes rashly,” he said.
