1.3 kg gold seized at Shamshabad airport

The officials of the Customs Department on Sunday seized over 1.349 kg of gold worth Rs 40.85 lakh, from a passenger of Air India flight coming from Muscat (Oman). The passenger who had reached the Rajiv Gandhi International



Airport (RGIA) on flight AI 988 coming via Dubai was about to catch another flight to Chennai. During their frisking, the customs officials found the yellow metal on him. He was taken into custody for further investigation.
