Jun 11, 2015 Chennai (Agency) :Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) picked up 50-year-old Sanjiv Bhatnagar, a high-profile CEO of e-publishing firm Jouve India Pvt Ltd, for possession of cocaine on Wednesday after he took delivery of the contraband from a courier company in Chennai.NCB official Prem Anand Sinha told private television channels that Bhatnagar was arrested after he took delivery of a packet from SMPK Cargo and Courier Services that ferried the drug. It was shipped from Bangalore.Sinha said that Sanjiv is believed to have receive such packets in the past too, for over an year. "He has been ordering the drug through his known contact and once we were sure that he was taking delivery of the e-publishing packet, he was nabbed. Bhatnagar left his office in the afternoon and went to the courier



company, located close to the Chennai central railway station, for the delivery of the packet. His driver too was taken into custody and remanded in judicial custody.According to the NCB, Bhatnagar admitted that the drug was for his personal use.NCB officials said that they were tracking the delivery mechanism of the drug, which was also available for ordering online. The few websites that offer these services are based in Mauritius.
The NCB suspects people of African origin to be involved in the affair. There were as many as 25 seizures of drugs over the past one year, the official said, adding that the bureau was keeping a close watch on the activities and would crackdown soon.“We are going to investigate and crack the whole network,” the official said adding that the bureau was working on some clues
