Pant and Gohil later left their jobs and took the client data with them. They then contacted the same clients and offered them the same weight management plan and at a reduced price. Clients were offered the clinic's plans costing Rs 10,000-12,000 for as low as Rs 6,000. The clinic got to know about the fraud after clients approached it to inform it that they were getting messages about the same plan at a reduced rate. The clinic is said to have incurred a loss of Rs 12 lakh due to the fraud.

ACP cybercrime J M Yadav said Pant was the clinic manager and had access to the company's data. Investigation in the case is on.
