Crime and Accident 13-year-old girl allegedly raped by uncle

A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her uncle in his house where she was staying and the police have launched a manhunt for the accused.

According to a complaint lodged at the All Women Police



Station, the girl was staying at her uncle's house here
along with her brother, as their mother, a divorcee, had left the city, police said.

The 45-year-old accused allegedly raped the minor while she was sleeping on June four and the next day and threatened
to kill her if she informed anybody, the complaint said.

The matter came to light when some neighbours questioned the girl following which they caught the accused. However, he managed to escape, the police said, adding, a search is on for him.
