Railways registers 18% increase in freight from Oct 1-8 as compared to last year

The Railway Ministry has said that Freight loading for the month of October has crossed the last year’s loading for the same period by 18 per cent. The earnings from freight is also over 250 crore rupees higher compared to last year’s earnings. The freight loading till 8th of this month was over 26 million

The Ministry said, number of concessions and discounts are also being given to make the Railways Freight movement very attractive. It said, Covid 19 has been used by Indian Railways as an opportunity to improve all round efficiencies and performances.
