Oil prices yesterday rose in thin pre-Christmas trading after Russia’s energy minister said cooperation with OPEC to support the market would continue and as analysts forecast a second weekly decline in U.S. crude



inventories.
 
Brent crude prices were trading around 66 dollars and 70 cents per barrel and WTI prices were at around 60 dollars and 70 cents per barrel when reports last came in.
