Income Tax Dept issues refunds of over Rs.1,06,000 crore

Income Tax Department has issued refunds of over Rs. 1,06,000 crore to more than 30 lakh taxpayers between 1st April to 15th September this year.

In a tweet, Central Board of Direct Taxes

(CBDT) said, Income tax refunds of Rs. 31,741 crore have been issued in over 29 lakh cases and corporate tax refunds of Rs. 74, 729 crore have been issued in over one lakh 74 thousand cases.
