As it consolidates manufacturing at the Talegaon plant in Maharashtra, GM India has signed a new three-year wage agreement with the General Motors Employees' Union. GM India has offered workers a 40% to 50% hike to be paid over three years of the wage agreement period. Meanwhile, workers of the Halol plant have



been given the option to take VRS or be transferred to the Talegaon plant in Pune by April-end. "The new wage agreement is effective from April 1, 2017 and runs until March 31, 2020 and is an important step in our plan to consolidate GM India's manufacturing at the Talegaon plant in Maharashtra,"
