Foreign investors pumped in nearly 16,500 crore rupees in Indian capital markets in August.

Besides, in the first three trading sessions of September, overseas investors have pumped in 7,768 crore rupees in the Indian markets.

According to the depositories data, Foreign Portfolio Investors, pumped in



2,083 crore rupees in equities, and 14,376 crore rupees in the debt market in August. This was the highest investment in the debt segment in this calendar year so far.

The investment came after the FPIs remained net sellers in July to the tune of 7,273 crore rupees.
