Union Minister of state for commerce and industries Anupriya Patel yesterday said that Despite of covid pandemic the exports of the country has increased 67 percent in last 5 months and this is result of Prime Minister's Atmnirbhar Bharat, local for vocal and make in india campaigns.

She was speaking at commerce expo program organised by commerce and industries ministry in association with Uttar Pradesh government under "azadi ka Amrit mahotsav celebrations" in Lucknow yesterday.

She said that in Uttar Pradesh also



there is no deficit in exports despite Corona and the one district one product scheme of the state has contributed a lot in the exports sector.

She said that in this financial year 2020-21, the target of merchandise export of Government of India is 400 billion dollars which by the end of 2027-2028 will increase to 2 trillion dollars.

Of this 2 trillion dollars, at least one trillion dollars will be contributed by merchandise exports and one trillion dollars will be contributed by service exports.
