Centre to extend SMS facility for filing nil returns by dealers registered under GST: Hasmukh Adhia

Union Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia said the centre has decided to extend SMS facility for filing nil returns by dealers registered under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime in the event of no tax liability. 

He said a group of Ministers is also looking into further simplification of tax



compliance for micro,small and medium sector enterprises (MSME). 

Interacting with representatives of trade and industry bodies in Patna on Friday, Mr Adhia said there is no way that a registered dealer could escape the mandatory obligation of filing of returns.
