CBDT extends last dates for filing Income Tax Returns to 31st December

New Delhi: The Central Board of Direct Taxes has further extended the due dates for filing of Income Tax Returns and various reports of audit for Assessment Year 2021-22. The decision was taken in consideration of difficulties reported by the taxpayers and other stakeholders in filing of Income Tax Returns and various reports of audit for the Assessment Year 2021-22.

due date of furnishing of Return of Income for the Assessment Year 2021-22, which was earlier extended to 30th September, has been further extended to the 31st of December. The due date of furnishing of Report of Audit for the Previous Year 2020-21, which was earlier extended to the 31st of October has been further extended to the 15th of January next year.
