Sovereign gold bond opens for subscription

Mumbai: Sovereign Gold Bonds, SGB, yesterday opened for subscription which will remain open for buying till Friday. This is the third Series of SGB Scheme in 2022-23 fiscal.

Finance Ministry said, the issue price of the bond during the subscription period will be five thousand four hundred and nine rupees per gram.

The government in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India has decided to allow discount of fifty rupees per gram to those



investors who apply online and make payment through digital mode.

The Ministry said, for such investors the issue price of gold bond will be five thousand three hundred and fifty-nine rupees per gram.

The minimum investment one can make in a gold bond is one gram. The maximum limit of subscription has been set at 4 kg for individuals and 20 kg for trusts and similar entities per fiscal year.
