Nashik’s Guardian Minister Dada Bhuse, yesterday, urged traders to resume their participation in onion auctions. Speaking to the media after holding a meeting with the district administration and traders, Mr. Bhuse said the traders must call off their strike for the sake of farmers, who are being adversely affected. He said a meeting has been called by State’s Minister for Marketing, Abdul Sattar on the 26th of September to discuss and resolve the issues being faced by the traders. Hoping that the issues will be amicably resolved by the end



of this month, 

Mr. Bhuse said, the traders must refrain from causing any further inconvenience to farmers and consumers.
 
Onion traders from Nashik have called an indefinite strike since yesterday, demanding the withdrawal of export duty hike and uniform commission across the country. In a strict action, the government has ordered all Agricultural Produce Market Committees - APMCs to suspend or cancel the license of striking traders.
