New Delhi: Government on Monday said the total profit of Central Public Sector Enterprises, CPSEs has increased by 37.53 per cent in fiscal year 2020-21 in comparison to corresponding year.

However, the losses incurred by the CPSEs, has decreased by 29.86 per cent during the same period. The information was given in a written



reply by the Minister of State for Finance Dr. Bhagwat Krishanrao Karad in the Lok Sabha. He said, there are 255 operational CPSEs as on 31st March 2021 with a total turnover of 24 lakh 26 thousand 45 crore rupees in 2020-21. Out of these 177 CPSEs are profit-making with total profit of one lakh 89 thousand 320 crore rupees.
