Govt launches Indian Customs Compliance Information Portal

Government on Wednesday launched the Indian Customs Compliance Information Portal for providing free access to information on all Customs procedures and regulatory compliance. The Central Board for Indirect Taxes and Customs said, it will handle nearly 12 thousand Customs Tariff Items.
The portal www.cip.icegate.gov.in/CIP is yet another facilitation
tool to empower the business as well as any interested person with up-to-date information on the legal and procedural requirements of Customs for carrying out imports and exports. The portal will also provide complete knowledge of all import and export related requirements for all items covered under the Customs Tariff.
