The All-India Consumer Price Index for Agricultural Labourers (CPI-AL) for March eased to 3.73 per cent as compared to 7.15 per cent in the same month previous year. According to the data released by the Ministry of Labour and Employment yesterday, the All-India Consumer Price Index for Rural Labourers (CPI-RL) was registered also eased to 3.86 per cent as compared to 7.08 per cent in
the corresponding period of last year.
The data showed that sub-indices including Pan, Supari, Fuel and Light, Clothing, Bedding, Footwear and miscellaneous registered a marginal rise, while Food witnessed a decline during March as compared to the previous month, for both agricultural and rural labourers.
