New Delhi: The ongoing India International Trade Fair at New Delhi's Pragati Maidan is showcasing diverse startup ideas and innovations from across the country. Among them, a unique startup is making buzz among the visitors - a funeral service.

A Mumbai-based funeral management team, Sukhant Funeral Management Private Limited, has set up a stall to showcase their 'business' in the IITF 2022. The team has put a sample of a casket on display at the stall. The kiosk is attracting the attention of a large number of people, especially after the fair opened to the public on Saturday.
Images and visuals of the stall have gone viral on social media as well. Several netizens took to Twitter and Facebook to term it as one of the best displays at the fair.

The Sukhant team will manage the entire rites, rituals and events related to the funeral at a fee around Rs 38000. Apart from the general arrangements, the team will also provide a pandit, hairdresser, men to

carry the casket and even people to accompany the body and chant mantras. Even the immersion of ashes will also be carried out by the team.

According to reports, the Sukhant has already earned a profit of more than Rs 50 lakh and is expecting a turnover of Rs 2000 crores soon.
While many of the netizens applauded the idea, some others criticised it for "commercializing death."

The India International Trade Fest, which is one of the biggest trade events in the world, is going on at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. More than 2500 international and domestic exhibitors showcase their products. The organisers expect more than 10 lakh visitors this year.

Bihar, Jharkhand and Maharashtra are the Partner States this year and Uttar Pradesh and Kerala are the Focus States. And among foreign countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Belarus, Iran, Nepal, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, and UK are participating in the fair.
