Pulwama, March 3: Jammu and Kashmir on Friday got its first cashless public hospital. According to reports, the district hospital of Pulwama, a public hospital showed green signal to cashless transaction to avoid inconvenience to the public.

Minister Narendra Modi on November 8, 2016, most of the street vendors started using apps to do cashless transactions.
On the other hand, the government introduced a government app BHIM (/india/modi-launches-mobile-app-bhim-make-digital-transactions-easier-2304461.html) for the people to promote the cashless transactions.
The people started using the ATMs in order to avoid the cash crunch.
