AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday accused the BJP of seeking to set the state on fire. He also said that while people have the right to protest, provocative sloganeering should not be allowed.

He said that if Raja Singh had issues with the comedican Munarar Faruqui, he whould have approached the police instead of posting hate targeting a community.

In a tweet, Owaisi said, If this is how desperate BJP

is for one bypoll, What will it do in general elections? It wants to set the state on fire. It wants burnt homes, emply shops, closed schools and curfews. Inshallah won't let them succeed. Telangana will be mukt of violence as long as its mukt of BJP.

In the late night statement, Owaisi urged people to participate in Friday prayers peacefully and not indulge in any untoward action or raise provocative slogans.
