All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday said the Congress government and the police higher-ups should ensure that incidents such as ‘Puranapul disturbance’ don’t occur.
He said that for the last three to four years, such incidents are repeating in the State. “Eighty per cent of the incidents
are happening at night. The police intelligence network is weak; they are not aware of what is happening,” alleged Owaisi.
On Wednesday, miscreants damaged a flexi and a PoP idol at Puranapul Darwaza, triggering an angry reaction from the local community. Owaisi said the government should study the incidents properly and take steps to prevent violence.
