On Monday Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the 6.5 m long National Emblem cast made of bronze on the roof of the New Parliament Building, reactions started pouring in from leaders of the opposition.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has violated all constitutional norms by unveiling the National Emblem atop the new Parliament building, as per All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi.

"Constitution separates the powers of parliament, government and

judiciary. As head of government, @PMOIndia shouldn’t have unveiled the national emblem atop the new parliament building. The Speaker of Lok Sabha represents LS which isn’t subordinate to govt. @PMOIndia has violated all constitutional norms," Owaisi wrote in a tweet.

"The Speaker of Lok Sabha represents Lok Sabha which isn't subordinate to the government. The prime minister has violated all constitutional norms," the Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad added.
