AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday said that the ruling TRS would form the government in Telangana on its own strength. He also put an end to all the speculations over AIMIM joining the TRS to form the government and termed them as baseless.

Further, he told mediapersons that one must wait for the results to be announced. He also refused to comment on the Congress allegedly welcoming AIMIM to join the Prajakutami.

Since the time elections were announced for the Telangana Assembly, Owaisi had ruled out any post-poll alliance with the TRS, expressing confidence in the ruling party’s victory and TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao returning to the Chief Minister’s post. AIMIM had contested from eight constituencies in the city and extended support to the TRS in the rest of the State.
