All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi questioned the appointment of Rishi Kumar Shukla as Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) chief by the panel led by the prime minister.

Taking to Twitter, Owaisi also a drew a comparison between Shukla and the other candidates which showed that the new CBI chief had no experience in

handling anti-graft cases.

The AIMIM chief questioned as to why Shukla was given the top job ahead of the other candidates. “2004 SC judgment says experience in investigation & anti-corruption should count apart from seniority. Would one hire someone whose resume said ‘NIL’ in the ‘work experience’ column?” tweeted Owaisi.
