India has strongly condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. Speaking at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meet on the sidelines of UN General Assembly in New York, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said, there can be no justification for any act of terrorism. She said connectivity with the SCO countries is India's priority.

Mrs Swaraj said India wants connectivity to pave the way for cooperation and trust between our societies. She also said India, as a member of SCO, will cooperate extensively to further consolidate the SCO as an effective regional platform.

Reaffirming the need



for early reforms in the UN Security Council, G4 nations issued joint statement after a meeting of Foreign Ministers of the G4 nations which was attended by Mrs Swaraj.In the joint statement, G4 members recognised that members of UN increased has gone up from 51 in 1945 to 193 today and that the current composition of UN Security Council does not reflect changed global realties.

The G4 Foreign Ministers stressed that UNSC needs to reflect today's world in order to tackle complex challenges. They reiterated their resolve to encourage launching text based negotiation during current session of General Assembly.
