After days of protests by candidates of Staff Selection Commission (SSC) exam, the Supreme Court today said it will hear the plea seeking investigation into the alleged SSC exam scam on March 12.

Thousands of students have been protesting outside the SSC headquarters in Delhi demanding a CBI probe into the scam.

SC asked Election Commission to respond to apprehensions raised in PIL over use of Totalizer&possibility of data leak. Union of India told SC that they are willing to agree with the measures to strengthen elections, said, there are several apprehensions regarding use of Totalizer

Minister of Home Affairs Rajnath Singh today said, "CBI order has been issued in SSC paper leak issue...detailed probe will be conducted in this matter."

The Commission after having heard requests from a delegation of



protesting candidates led by BJP Delhi President Manoj Tiwari agreed for recommending the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) to request the government to conduct a CBI enquiry.


There have been allegations pertaining to the conduct of CGL (Tier-II) Examination held from February 17 to February 22 this year. Among other issues students alleged paper leak and observed malpractices in the conduct of the examinations by the service provider.
It was also agreed that all evidences of examination related malpractices submitted by the protesting candidates, including screenshots of the questions taken during the examination from February 17 to February 22 this year will be handed over to the CBI for enquiry.

Activist Anna Hazare also had met Staff Selection Commission (SSC) aspirants and supported their demand of CBI probe.
