Rajasthan passes bill for death penalty for rape of girls below 12

Rajasthan Assembly yesterday approved a bill providing for death penalty to those convicted of raping girls under 12 years of age. 

The Criminal Laws (Rajasthan Amendment) Bill, 2018, seeks to add section 376-AA



and 376-DD in the Indian Penal Code (IPC).Two amendments are proposed in the bill including that the convict cannot come out of prison for life even after completing 14 years of the sentence.
