Rain hits normal life in Assam

In Assam, rain and storms have thrown normal life out of gear at many places. At least 4 people lost their lives due to rain-related incidents yesterday. 

Karbi Anglong Deputy Commissioner Adil Khan said, storms damaged several houses and uprooted trees. He said, a relief camp



has been set up at Nonkge Basti where around 2,000 people have taken shelter. 

The Deputy Commissioner said, an ex-gratia of four lakh rupees have been given to the family of those killed.Hailstorm also damaged standing crops in parts of Lower Assam.
