President Ram Nath Kovind to present National Energy Conservation Awards today

President Ram Nath Kovind will present National Energy Conservation Awards in New Delhi today on the occasion of National Energy Conservation day. Industries that have demonstrated measurable reductions in their energy use will be awarded during the event. 

Mr Kovind will also present the National Painting Competition Prizes. This year, over 1 crore 22 lakh



children across India between 4th and 9th standards participated in the National Painting Competition.

The Bureau of Energy Efficiency, BEE, under Ministry of Power organizes the Energy Conservation Day with an aim to demonstrate India’s achievements in energy efficiency and conservation and nation’s effort towards climate change mitigation.
