Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Portugal and the Netherlands later this month, besides his scheduled tour of the United States where he will meet President Donald Trump. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopal Baglay said, Mr. Modi will be in Portugal on 24th of this month, the US on 25th and 26th, and in the Netherlands on 27th June. 

The spokesperson said Prime Minister Modi will hold official talks with the Prime Minister of Portugal- Antonio Costa and is also expected to call on the King of that country. He said, some memoranda of understanding are being finalised in the sphere of economic, scientific and cultural engagements and are expected to be signed during the visit. 

On PM’s visit to the Netherlands, which will be on 27th June,



Mr. Baglay said the visit is significant as India and The Netherlands are celebrating 70 years of establishment of diplomatic relations this year. 
During the visit, Mr. Modi will meet the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and hold official talks with him. Economic relations form the core of bilateral relations between India and The Netherlands. The Netherlands is also the leading foreign investor in India.

On the prime minister’s visit to the US, the spokesperson said as of now only one city, Washington features. During his visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold talks with President Donald Trump on a wide range of issues on 26th of June. Mr. Baglay said, the Prime Minister might have an interaction with the Indian community in the US.
