Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold delegation level talks with visiting Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in New Delhi today. 

The two leaders will discuss a wide range of issues of mutual interest. A number of agreements are expected to be signed after the talks in different fields. 

Mr Modi has said he looks forward to meeting with Mr Trudeau and holding talks on further strengthening India-Canada relations in all spheres. In a tweet message, Mr Modi said, he appreciates Mr Trudeau's deep commitment to ties between the two countries. 

Prime Minister hoped that the Canadian Prime Minister and his family's trip was enjoyable and that he was looking forward to meeting him and especially his children. Mr Modi also posted a picture from



his 2015 Canada visit when he had met Mr Trudeau. 

Canadian Prime Minister will be accorded ceremonial reception at the forecourts of Rashtrapati Bhawan this morning. He will lay the wreath at Mahatma Gandhi's Samadhi, Rajghat. Later, Mr Trudeau will call on President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in the evening. 
He will also have the meeting with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. 

Ahead of Canadian PM's visit, Ministry of External Affairs had said that the visit is aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries in key areas of mutual interest including trade and investment, energy, science and innovation, higher education, infrastructure development, skill development and space.
