Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said, he sees no challenge to the BJP in the next general elections and described unity efforts among opposition parties as a proof of his government's popularity and his party's big success. Addressing the valedictory session of BJP's national executive meeting in New Delhi yesterday, Mr Modi said, for the BJP, power is not an instrument of sitting on the chair but to work for the welfare of the people. 

He also stressed on the need for development with a human face adding that his government does not look at the caste, creed or religion of people when it works for their welfare. Prime Minister said, due to the government's schemes, five crore people have been lifted out of the poverty. Mr Modi also asked the party workers to strengthen the party base at each polling booth.  

Briefing reporters in New Delhi, senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said, Prime Minister paid rich tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and gave a new slogan of  Ajay Bharat, Atal Bhajpa. The slogan means an India which is victorious and cannot be subjugated by anyone and a party which is committed to its principles.

Congress of having failed to raise the issues of pubic concern. He urged party workers to highlight the achievement of the NDA Government.  Prime Minister said, there should be opposition in democracy but those who were a failure in the government is also a failure in the opposition.  

In his address, BJP President Amit Shah said after winning 2019 polls, nobody will be able to remove the BJP for next 50 years. Earlier, the national executive passed a political resolution highlighting the works of NDA government in the last four years. It said this government has leadership, vision, passion and imagination for the development of the country. It also mentioned making new India by 2022 which will be free of poverty communalism, casteism, corruption and terrorism. 

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar told media that the resolution highlighted the improvement in the internal situation in the last four years. Mr Javadekar said terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir has come down and the effect of Naxalism is also shrinking day by day. About NRC issue related to Assam the resolution said, the government is not against the citizen of the country but infiltration.
