Nagpur recorded 265 millimetres of rainfall in just nine hours yesterday, flooding several localities. 

The incessant downpour caused water-logging in several areas of the city. Incidents of uprooting of trees were also reported. Proceedings of both houses of the state legislature were hit after heavy rain in Nagpur



caused a power failure and waterlogging. 

The power supply to the assembly complex was disrupted as the transformer room was flooded following heavy rains.  Deputy Director General of Meteorology J R Prasad said, heavy rainfall is expected in the city today as well.
