Ghazipur landfill site collapses in east Delhi, one dead, many fear trapped

A part of the landfill site at Ghazipur collapsed on Friday afternoon killing a girl on the spot and pushing several vehicles into a drain. Delhi Police said at least four persons have been pulled out of the rubble and an operation is on to rescue others feared



trapped.

DCP (east) Omvir Singh said a car and two two-wheelers ended up inside a drain flowing near the garbage dump after the collapse that caused the roadside railing to come down. The incident happened around 2.30 pm.
