In Uttar Pradesh, educational institutions up to class 12th has been closed today in many districts including state capital Lucknow in view of torrential rain for last six days. 

Normal life in most of the districts has been out of gear.  In the state capital Lucknow most of the roads are water logged affecting traffic badly. Rain has disrupted power supply and also affected communication system. 

Sarayu, Ghaghara and Sharda rivers are flowing above the danger mark at Faizabad, Basti, Gonda, Lakhimpur Kheri and Barabanki



districts. 

People living in low lying areas near to Hathinj Kund in Saharanpur district have been shifted to safe places due to rise in water level in Yamuna river. Rivers Ganga and Yamuna are also flowing near to danger mark in Bulandshahar, Muzaffarnagar and Ballia.

State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the flood situation in the state yesterday evening with senior officers and directed for taking measures to save lives and properties. He also directed the officials for steps to check spreading of epidemic in the flood affected areas.
