BJP President Amit Shah on Thursday addressed the media as the party ended its campaign for the Karnataka Assembly Elections.
Lashing out at the Congress for its undemocratic methods to win an election, Shah said the behavior highlighted the ‘desperation’ the Congress had to win elections. “The voter id scandal shows how desperate Congress is to win the elections. They are resorting to undemocratic ways to win elections,” he alleged.
“I would like to appeal to those who have fake voter ID cards to not come under the trap laid by the Congress party and should stay away from filthy election tactics adopted by them,” he added.
He also lashed out at the Siddaramaiah government for not doing anything for farmers and their inability to answer for their failures. “Siddaramaiah government did nothing for the farmers and they are not even ready to give answers for their failure. The law and order

situation in the state has taken a turn for the worse. I am confident that Siddaramaiah government will face failure when it comes to formation of government in the state,” Shah said, adding that the BJP would win at least 130 seats in Karnataka.
Lashing out at the Karnataka Chief Minister for changing his constituency, Shah said he would lose there as well. “Siddaramaiah has changed his constituency and his contesting in Badami. He will lose there too,” he said.
He thanked the people of the state for their love for the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “I would request the people of Karnataka to give us a chance to serve you and to work for the betterment of the state. More than Rs 3 lakh crore worth schemes and allocation has been done under Modi govt for Karnataka. It was people of Karnataka's right and I hope our work for the people will speak for itself,” he added.
