Cold wave and foggy conditions continue unabated in northern and eastern India. The national capital experienced a thick blanket of fog which disrupted air, road and rail services. More than 60 domestic and international flights were delayed or diverted. As many as 13 trains were rescheduled while 13 others coming to Delhi were canceled. 

49 trains have been delayed. IMD scientist Charan Singh said, similar weather condition will prevail in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar during next 48 hours. In Uttar Pradesh, biting cold and fog have thrown normal life out of gear.Dense fog in many parts of the state has hampered rail, road and air traffic in the



state.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath visited shelter houses last night in Lucknow and instructed the officials to improve the arrangements. There is no let up in cold wave conditions in Bihar. Icy winds have added to the problems of people especially homeless and those living in streets. 

In Rajasthan, majority of the places witnessed a dip in its day and night temperatures, which has badly affected normal life.In Jammu and Kashmir, Kargil town in Ladakh region recorded its coldest night this season as mercury settled at minus 20.6 degree Celsius yesterday. Leh town recorded the minimum temperature of minus 16.5 Degree Celsius.
