The third edition of the annual Raisina Dialogue will be inaugurated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will also be a part of the inaugural session of the three-day-long event, which will see a series of high-powered panel discussions on geopolitical issues.
Mr Netanyahu will arrive in New Delhi tomorrow on a six-day visit.Over 150 speakers from 90 countries expected to take part in the event, jointly organised by the Ministry of External Affairs and Observer Research Foundation (ORF). The theme of the dialogue
this year is 'Managing Disruptive Transitions: Ideas, Institutions and Idioms'.
Joint Secretary in External Affairs Ministry, Dr Bala Bhaskar said, during his week-long tour, the Israeli Prime Minister will also visit Agra, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.He said the agriculture and water are the major strategic cooperation areas between the two nations and India will further like to expand the cooperation in these areas.
The bilateral trades between the two countries is 5 billion US dollar. He said the discussion on Free Trade Agreement with Israel is underway.
