Amarnath yatra remains suspended for 2nd consecutive day

The annual Amarnath yatra remained suspended for the second consecutive day today due to bad weather in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain has damaged tracks and made the road condition slippery on both Pahalagam and Baltal routes. A senior police official said, landslides have hit



at a few places along Baltal Sonmarg route and damaged tracks are being repaired. Helicopter services have been operationalised from Baltal Base Camp to transport pilgrims upto Panjtarni for onward journey towards the holy cave.
