The BSF today confiscated about 55 kg heroin worth 5 crore rupees in Punjab's Gurdaspur district. 

Official sources said, the incident was reported at about 6:30 this evening when a Border Security Force (BSF) patrol team detected some suspicious movement along



the border post 'Rosse'. Sources said, there were three intruders, who were challenged and as the BSF party retaliated, they fled.

A senior BSF officer said, in the initial search, 55 packets of contraband and two pistols were found.
