The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting tomorrow on North Korea's latest missile test. The US, Japan and South Korea requested the emergency discussions after Pyongyang launched a missile yesterday.

The latest projectile, launched from a military base in Kusong near the country's northwest coast landed in the Sea of



Japan.North Korea said it successfully conducted a newly developed mid-to-long range missile test aimed at verifying the capability to carry a large scale heavy nuclear warhead. 

The launches were the latest in a series of test-firings that violate UN resolutions barring Pyongyang from developing missile technology.
