EU Parliament slams use of military courts in Pakistan

European Union Parliament has slammed the use The EU Parliament passed a resolution saying that the use of military courts in the country is deplorable and said that the human rights record of the nation was dismal. The resolution was passed months after Pakistan sentenced Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav to death by an Army court. India has challenged the



sentence at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) at The Hague.

The ICJ stayed Jadhav's death sentence as a provisional measure till its final verdict. India maintains that Jadhav was kidnapped from Iran where he had business interests after retiring from the Indian Navy and was falsely implicated by Pakistan.
