Chinese President Xi Jinping hold talks with President Trump

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday held talks with his visiting US counterpart Donald Trump at the Great Hall of the People.

On Wednesday, Trump arrived here on a three-day visit, after urging China to downgrade its diplomatic and sever trade ties with North Korea over its nuclear policy, reports Xinhua news agency.The third leg of the US



President’s five-nation Asia tour comes after stops in Japan and South Korea.

This is Trump’s first visit to China as US President and the third meeting with Xi this year.

The two leaders are expected to discuss the North Korean nuclear crisis and the US trade deficit with China.
