A women from the city was rescued from the clutches of her Kafil in Saudi Arabia on the representation of Hyderabad MP and AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi.

The woman, Asra Begum, a resident of Hafeezpet, went to Saudi Arabia on the advice of her father in the hope to earn money in the year 2016. Since a few months she was facing torture at the hands of a family she was working for and not allowed to sleep nor give food. Fed up with their harassment, Asra managed to contact and inform the matter to her family.

In June,



her family members met Asaduddin Owaisi at party headquarters and sought his help to rescue Asra Begum. Owaisi wrote to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and also spoke to Consul General at Indian consulate in Jeddah and urged them to help rescue her.

Asra Begum, along with her family members met Asaduddin Owaisi yesterday at Darussalam and thanked him for helping her and bring back her to city. Asaduddin Owaisi has promised to provide her a job in the institutions being run by Darussalam Trust.
