Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, on Friday, announced support for construction of ‘Self Respect Building complexes’ (Aatma Gaurava Bhavans) in Hyderabad for all castes of Telangana.

The government will allot land and extend financial support for their construction. A decision to this effect was taken during a review meeting held by him at Pragati Bhavan with some of his cabinet colleagues and senior officials.

Chief Minister said lands had been identified in Kokapeta, Ghatkesar, Medpally, Medchal, Abdullapurmet and Injapur for construction of community buildings.The government is also ready with financial support for the Atma Gaurava Bhavans.

‘The Backward classes in Telangana are in majority and in large numbers. They are backward in social, educational, and financial aspects. The government has been taking several measures for their development. In addition to this efforts were being made for their social, cultural, educational and financial advancement,” he said.

Hyderabad for every caste. The lands required have been already identified and procured. Necessary funds have been kept ready,” he added.

At an estimated expenditure of Rs 10 crores, Atma Gaurava Bhavan will be constructed in a 10 acres area for the benefit of 36 nomadic castes. Necessary arrangements will be made in these building complex for development and advancement of these communities.

He announced half acre land and a financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh for the Bhatraj caste building complex. He has instructed officers concerned and Ministers to initiate the process of construction of buildings immediately since land and funds had been allocated. He has also decided to allot one acre land and Rs 1 crore each to Bondili and Ellapi caste buildings.

Ministers Etela Rajender, Jogu Ramanna, G Jagadish Reddy, Chandulal, P Indrakaran Reddy, MP Vinod, Chief Secretary SK Joshi, senior officers Narsing Rao, Rama Krishna Rao, Benhur Datt Ekka, Shiv Shankar, Dana Kishore, Budda Prakash, Bhupal Reddy and others participated in the meeting.
