IT & MAUD Minister KT Rama Rao today said the Telangana Government was giving top priority for e-governance to ensure that the schemes and programs reach the people without delay.

Speaking at the 21st national conference on e-governance at HICC attended by Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs and Food Distribution CK Chowdary, Chief SK Joshi and some 800 delegates from all over the country, KTR said they have launched 4,500 me-seva centers across the State for providing efficient services to the people. He said with e-governance facility, the government was able to provide better, speedy and efficient services to the people. He also said T Vallet was getting tremendous response of transactions from the people.

The IT Minister said as many as 1.3 million people have downloaded the m-vallet application, which speaks



volumes about the scheme. The Telangana State stood at No 1 place at national level in the Ease of Doing Business (EODB), giving all permissions in 15 days to industries and companies through TSiPASS scheme. “Our aim is to transform the State into Digital Telangana by providing broadband internet services to every household simultaneously with safe waters through the Mission Bhagiratha scheme, KTR said.

“We have cleansed the land records after 86 years and linking them through Aadhar for transparent services. He also said the use of technology and equipment was giving better results in all the departments and Rs 200 crore was saved from going waste in the Civil Supplies department. Chief Secretary SK Joshi said the State was in the forefront in e-governance and using latest technologies to provide better services to the people.
