Student jumps from 5th floor, critical

Hyderabad: A second year intermediate student allegedly attempted to commit suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of his apartment in Meerpet, police said here on Tuesday.

The student, V Sanjay (17), son of Manik Prabhu is a resident of Janapriya Mahanagar in Meerpet.

The incident happened late night on Monday. “Sanjay jumped from the fifth floor of the apartment,” Meerpet



police said, quoting the residents.

The boy has been shifted to an adjacent private hospital where his condition is stated to be critical.

“The reasons behind the suicide attempt are to be identified yet. As the boy’s condition is not good, it might take sometime to investigate,” an official said.

A case has been registered and probe is on.
