Shab-E-Qadr observed in Hyderabad

Muslims across the city observed Lailatul-Qadr, the night of decree, on Thursday. Also known as Lailatul Qadr it falls on the 27th day of the Ramzan month.The night is considered auspicious as Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammed and the Muslims seek forgiveness for their sins.

The faithful turned up in large numbers at the special prayers and sermons organised at



different mosques in and around the city. A large number of devotees offered the ‘Isha’ (the fifth prayer of the day) at the historic Mecca Masjid.

Similar big gathering were also witnessed at Azizia Mosque-Mehdipatnam, Jamia Masjid Musheerabad, Jamia Masjid (Badi Masjid) Mallepally, Vazir Ali Masjid – Fateh Darwaza and other mosques in the city.
