At least seven train passing through South Central Railway zone (SCR) have been cancelled due to heavy flooding of tracks in North Frontier Railway region between Kishanganj and Panjipara. The cancellations are scheduled for Wednesday , Thursday and Friday and few more trains are likely to be cancelled as well, authorities said in a official statement.

Among the train cancelled are Train No.12516 Guwahati Thiruvanantapuram Central Express, Train No.12552 Kamakhya ­



Yeshvantpur Express, Train No. 22611 Chennai Central ­ New Jalpaiguri Express is cancelled on Wednesday , while Train No. 12509 Bangalore Cantonment ­ Guwahati is cancelled on Thursday , August 17. Also Train No. 15905 Kanyakumari Dibrugarh Vivek Express and Train No. 12503 Bangalore Cantonment ­ Kamakhya Express are cancelled on August 18.

Meanwhile, the fear of track breaches is high with the entire route between Kishanganj and Panjipara being submerged.
